Scope 1 & 2: direct emissions
Scope 1 & 2 cover your direct emissions. This includes the purchase of natural gas, coal, or electricity. Once the CO2 footprint has been composed, you will know exactly which categories have the greatest CO2 impact and where changes can be made.
What next and what are the benefits of a CO2 footprint?
Measurement is step one, but of course, that’s not all. After establishing your footprint, a lot of other questions become relevant. How can you improve and reduce your footprint? What value can a footprint create for your organization? How will you communicate this to stakeholders? And who do you need, both internally and externally, to further develop your climate approach? Greener Company is here to help.
